Remebering 9-11 | A Ride to Pay Tribute to Our Fallen Heroes

Below is the information on the ACCORD Remember 9-11 Ride program honoring our Nation's Hero's after the September 11 tragedy. It is going to be a great day in Long Beach with Alamitos Bay Landing and McKenna's on the Bay as the focal point. On this the 10th Anniversary Remembrance of 9-11 we are expecting record crowds and a very exciting and emotional Ride, Ceremony and Celebration.

Thank you for any help or support that you may be able to provide.

This year's Ride has been taken to a new level.

Over the past (9+ year) history of continued growth and thousands asking how and who they can donate to, Gary Biggerstaff (founder), in partnership with ACCORD Community First; the Fire Department and many others listed (too many to list here - please visit Partners & Sponsors on the website at, decided to add a bit more to the day with an official solemn ceremony and an event at which we have the opportunity through our event sponsors and attendees to raise donations for selected local southern California Charities.

Although we have had a very short timeframe in putting the event together for this year, we have already received a tremendous response from past Riders, their families and local community supporters. As I explained over the telephone we have been selected as a finalist for a National grant/award of $100,000 - which if won, will go to sustain the Ride/Event in the future; (because of UPS and the LB Fire Department), we have received and are in possession of actual pieces of the NY WTC (a secret that will be unveiled on September 11 at the Ceremony); we will soon announce a top name celebrity to lead the Ride; a well know Celebrity Band to headline the Concert; we have received approval from the Military that our request for an official flyover has been approved; and we will close the day (the West coast's largest celebration of the (10) Anniversary of 9-11), with a Patriotic Fireworks display over Alamitos Bay Landing viewed by more than 50,000+ residents in the area and visitors to the event. As you can see this will mark a very special time, honoring and supporting our Nation's Fallen and First Responders.

The Charities and proceeds will benefit Southern California Charities in Los Angeles, Orange Counties & Long Beach: (more to come as the donations come in)

  • Port Authority Officer George G. Howard Scholarship Foundation.
  • Hook & Ladder Scholarship Foundation
  • Long Beach Fire Engine Museum
  • Wounded Warrior Foundation

Revenue from our Sponsors are donations that go directly to the ACCORD Remember 9-11 Ride Fund and will be distributed to the selected, vetted charities listed on the site/above and as donations come in (additional vetted and related organizations will be added. All Sponsors this year will be given a "first call access" to future Rides as the event continues to grow).

NOTE: ACCORD Community First is a Long Beach Non-Profit dedicated to workforce training and putting people back to work through sponsored and grant funded training programs in the Southern California (9) county area. ACCORD's mission is to put AMERICA back to work, supporting the public, first responders and our military one participant at a time. ACCORD in the past 24 months has trained and assisted in placing more than (450+) workers in our state. Partnered with Gary Biggerstaff and the many partners that have stepped up for this program, ACCORD is providing the management and direction for the Remember 9-11 event. You can visit our ACCORD Community First website at: (It is undergoing an update at present to focus on September 11th and will soon be re-launched with new information).
