Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki Try To Keep Podium Streak Alive in Daytona

Corona, Calif. (March 3, 2011) - Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Dean Wilson and Blake Baggett look to continue their podium streak at Daytona International Speedway for the historical Daytona Supercross. Wilson comes off his first win in Atlanta, while Baggett looks to improve on his two third-place finishes.

Taking a hard-fought victory in Atlanta, Wilson has his first win under his belt and is ready to continue the win streak. Last year, Wilson earned his first podium finish in Daytona and is hoping to see the same fortune in 2011.

“I was so happy to finally get a win after coming close so many times,” said Wilson. “I knew I have had the speed to win, but it has been hard getting back up to speed since my injury. I know that I should only be stronger as the weeks go on and I’m really looking forward to going back to Daytona.”

Baggett continues to prove he is a threat for the top of the podium after running with the front-runners in Atlanta. He is eager to improve on his third-place result and Daytona is the perfect place for Baggett to shine.

“I like Daytona a lot,” said Baggett. ”I really hope I can break out of my third-place streak and get higher on the podium. The track in Daytona is really demanding. I think my training and endurance will really be good for reaching my goal of a better finish.” Wilson is currently tied for first in the point standings, while Baggett is close behind in third. The Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team will head to Daytona International Speedway this weekend for the ninth round of the Monster Energy Supercross, an FIM Championship.
