2013 Kymco Agility Review

Intro

The 2013 Kymco Agility comes in the 50 and 125 models. The Taiwanese company has been active in the United States scooter market since 2000. Kymco has steadily grown and improved their scooter since entering the U.S. market.

Both Agility models use the standard air-cooled four-stroke motors that Kymco has been using in their small and midsized scooters since the 1990s. Fuel economy for the 50 model is estimated at 80-90 mpg and estimated at 75 mpg for the 125. The Agility features a small passenger/buddy seat that can fold into an upright position to serve as a backrest for the driver. The only other scooter that uses a similar concept is Honda’s Big Ruckus. Kymco left out a glovebox on the Agility 50 and 125 scooters, but they did include a moderate amount of under seat storage. The under seat storage area can accommodate some full-face helmets but not the larger ones. Kymco also equipped both the 50cc and 125cc models with a front disc brake. The difference in cost to the manufacturer between a disc brake and drum brake is only a few dollars and it provides superior stopping and safety for the life of the vehicle.

Kymco says, ""Kymco""s Agility 125 is a quality, low-priced scooter that is unmatched in the industry. With its new smooth, quiet four-stroke 125cc engine, CVT automatic transmission, front disc brake, low seat height and short wheelbase the Agility 125 has universal rider appeal. A suitable big brother to the Agility 50 model, this is a nimble little scooter popular with something to please just about everybody.""
