2013 Husqvarna TXC Review

Intro

The success of Husqvarna’s signature Red Head on the 2012 TC250 has led it to find its way on all of Husky’s small-bore four-strokes in 2013, including the re-vamped TXC250R. The new red head isn’t all the quarter-liter off-roader gets this year. As well as a shot in the arm in the power department, the suspension has been upgraded to complement the more aggressive new motor.

This year’s Huszvarna TXC model is a considerable improvement over last year. The new TXC250 actually feels more like last year’s TXC310 and this year’s 310 has much more torque and can be short shifted and chugged a lot like the big-bore bikes. In addition to the improved power, both TXCs are also running much cleaner with new Keihin EFI. The FI settings are spot on and both bikes are very responsive with seamless power.

Riders will also notice the difference in suspension. The new TXCs have much better hold up in the forks and when combined with the newfound power, it gives the bike a racier feel. The bike will have no issues gliding over jumps or charging obstacles. The new suspension showed no sign of weakness on the track, and you’ll feel just as confident when you’re out there charging through the slop.
