2006 Kymco Agility Review

Intro

Leading Taiwanese scooter producer, Kymco, first introduced their scooter in the early 1990s. They have since partnered with motorcycle companies like BMW and Kawasaki Heavy Industries to produce reliable and efficient engines, such as those in the 2008 BMW G450X Enduro. However, in 2006 The Kymco Agility scooter series was introduced. Kymco released their entry-level Agility 50 model, along with the Agility 125, which was heavier with a few more standard options.

The 2006 Kymco Agility models are steel frame construction with plastic body. The Agility series comes standard with a single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled engine and Continuously Variable (CVT) transmission.

The 2006 Agility 50’s engine displacement to weight is 0.24 cc. The 2006 Agility 125’s engine displacement to weight is 0.54 cc. It is either kick-started or started using an electric ignition switch.

The dry weight of the 2006 Agility 50 is a mere 203.9 lbs. (92.5 kg). The 2006 Agility 125 has a standard dry weight of 232 lbs. (105.5 kg). The 2006 Kymco Agility models have standard non-digital instrumentation that features a speedometer, trip odometer, and fuel level warning gauges. Other standard features include driver backrest, grab rail/strap, hand grips, driver/passenger floor boards, fork guards, exterior covers and guards, front and rear fenders, and a center stand. The Agility 50 and 125 scooters have lockable helmet and under-seat storage. A standard rear rack makes toting extras easier.
