2004 Honda ST1300 Review

The 2004 Honda ST1300 handles like a sports bike but rides like a touring bike. This is the most frequent comment that owners make in motorcycle forums. This comment is not surprising since the ST1300 in a sport touring motorcycle. Honda introduced the ST1300 to the United States in 2003. It was adapted from Honda’s ST 1100 sport-touring motorcycle. Except for a new color (pearl dark blue), the 2004 model is unchanged from the introductory model. Riders say the 2004 ST1300 rides like a dream, whether on city streets, freeways, or winding roads. Riders also say they can ride 600 miles a day and not feel overly tired when they turn the key off for the night. Passenger comfort is also high. The ST1300 features Honda‘s high degree of reliability in a motorcycle that is fun to ride.

For 2004, the ST1300 comes in a base model and a model that has anti-lock brakes (ABS). Both models have hard side cases on each side that provide 15.9 gallons of storage space per case; under-seat storage is available as well. They also have an adjustable seat and a headlight that can be adjusted for height. Both models have standard dash instrumentation, with a couple of extras like an air temperature gauge and a fuel mileage computer. The ST1300 base has some features the ABS model lacks. It has an adjustable windscreen that can be adjusted to three positions, depending on the rider’s height by touching a button, providing good rider protection. It also has a seat that can be adjusted to three positions front and back as well as three positions up and down.
