To complement its existing line of products designed for the BMW S1000RR, renowned crash protection specialist, R&G; Racing, has announced that Mirror Blanking Plates are now available for this model.
Following its decisive victory in the recent Masterbike test at the new Motorland circuit near Valencia, Spain, the BMW S1000RR is set to become the track day bike to beat. Its claimed 190bhp at the rear wheel and host of electronics make it a very powerful motorcycle that is also relatively safe to ride fast.
Track day riders and racers who want to remove their S1000RR mirrors can now fit R&G; Mirror Blanking Plates to the mirror mount points to prevent the fairing from flapping at high speed. Similarly, street riders with a rebellious streak who wish to enhance the aesthetics of the motorcycle can replace the stock mirrors with the blanking plates for that 'race bike' look.
Simon Hughes, R&G; Racing's Sales Director says: "We developed this product primarily for track use, as a practical but attractive solution to the issue of blanking off the bodywork once the mirrors are removed, but we know that the product will also appeal to street riders."
Made from solid aluminum with a hard wearing black anodized finish, the R&G; Mirror Blanking Plates can be easily fitted or removed in minutes. This addition to the already extensive range of products for the BMW S1000RR is also very well priced with an SRP of $50.00.
Simon adds: "For street use, it should be borne in mind that most states require at least one functioning mirror and with safety a priority riders would be well advised to fit a bar end type mirror."
Additionally, R&G; Mirror Blanking Plates will shortly be available for many other makes and models.
