The Suzuki GSX models base their chassis on a tubular steel frame. Suspension is provided by telescopic forks adjustable for preload up front, and a link type suspension in the rear, which is adjustable for preload and rebound. With stock sport touring tires on 17-inch wheels, and upright touring style handlebars, both Suzuki GSX models handle well on city streets. While they are more than capable of taking you on an enjoyable ride through windy mountain roads, they don't have the side-to-side handling efficiency of their top handling sibling, the Suzuki GSX-R line. Both models use dual disc brakes on the front wheel, with a single disc on the rear wheel. For additional braking prowess, the 2009 Suzuki GSX1250FA comes with a standard anti-lock braking system (ABS).
