Intro

The Kawasaki KLX 250 motorbikes are one of Kawasaki’s most popular dual-sport models. This bike replaced the KLR250 in 2006. This motorbike is ideal for navigating city streets crowded with traffic or narrow winding dirt roads in rUral regions. The engine for this motorbike is liquid-cooled and has four valves per cylinder. The MSRP for this versatile motorbike is around $4,700. This motorbike is around seven feet long, 34.8 inches wide and slightly under four feet tall. The on-off road motorbike has around 11.6 inches of ground clearance.

The 2006 Kawasaki KLX 250 motorbike comes equipped with a one-piece vinyl seat this is only meant to hold the driver. The frame of the motorbike is made of steel and the body is made of plastic. The KLX 250 is equipped with a foot pegs, a chain guard and engine guard as well. This bike also comes with hand guards. This motorbike has standard front and rear fenders and a kickstand as well. The 2006 Kawasaki KLX 250 comes equipped with a standard rear rack and a soft vinyl tail bag with plain trim for storage. Most riders like the 2006 Kawasaki KLX 2006 significantly more than other on-off road bikes and different types of motorcycles currently available. The KLX 250's performance on the race track was the only inferior quality chosen by riders when comparing the other types of the motorbikes available.

Surveyed riders thought the KLX 250 motorbike was safer, had much better off-road capabilities and was much more fun to ride when compared to all the other bikes on the market. Riders preferred the reliability, low repair expenses, better engine performance and a better design from the Kawasaki KLX 250 when compared other types of motorbikes. Riders felt the 2006 KLX 250 was worth more for the money and was a better touring bike than most others as well.

New For 2006

  • The Kawasaki KLX was new for 2006, joining the Kawasaki KLX 110, KLX 125 and the KLX 300 from the 2005 lineup. Overall, surveyed riders liked the 2005 Kawasaki KLX 300 better than the 2006 Kawasaki KLX 250. Riders liked both of these motorbikes more than other bikes out on the market. Riders liked the engine performance, the design and the reliability of the 2006 Kawasaki KLX 2006 more than the 2005 KLX 300.
  • The riders also thought that the 2006 KLX 250 was more fun to ride than the KLX 300 from the year before. These riders thought the 2005 KLX 300 motorbike provided more value for the money than the KLX 250 released the next year. Riders also favored the off-road capabilities, lower maintenance costs, racing capabilities and touring capabilities of the KLX 300. However, riders thought the Kawasaki KLX 250 was a safer motorbike on the road than the 2005 KLX 300.
