Report Receipt Date: November 30, 2016
NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V864000
Component(s): Equipment, brake system
Potential Number of Units Affected: 392
Manufacturer: CSC Motorcycles, LLC

THE RECALL: CSC Motorcycles, LLC (CSC) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 Cyclone motorcycles manufactured from April 4, 2015, to November 10, 2016. The affected vehicles may not be equipped with a supplemental label that reminds the user to clean the brake reservoir before adding brake fluid and to use DOT 4 brake fluid from a sealed container. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 122, "Motorcycle Brake Systems."

WHAT COULD HAPPEN: If the supplemental brake fluid label is missing, the operator may use an incorrect brake fluid which could damage the brake system and increase the risk of a crash.

THE FIX: CSC will notify owners and will provide the customer with the missing label, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in December 2016. Owners may contact CSC customer service at 1-800-884-4173. CSC's number for this recall is 16-0023810-18747-10.
