SoCal Motorcycles will host a memorial service for one of Southern California's most beloved motorcycle racing heroes, the late Gene "Burrito" Romero. The event will be held in the Triumph dealership, located at 515 W. Lambert Road in Brea, California, starting at 10 a.m. and concluding at 2 p.m.

Honoring their fallen friend will be a large gathering of fellow professional racers including Grand Prix champion Kenny Roberts, Flat Track champion Bubba Shobert, and Supercross champion Ricky Johnson along with other legendary racers.

Romero was a master of many disciplines including AMA superbikes, but he earned his titles while competing in the AMA Dirt Track championships during the glory days of the 1960s and ’70s. He was inducted into the Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 1998, just 17 years after retiring from the sport that made him a household name among American race fans.
