Have you ever heard of The Tail of the Dragon ? You'll find it on the map as Route 129 in Robbinsville, North Carolina and commonly known as Deals Gap. With "318 curves in 11 miles, (The Dragon) is America's number one motorcycle and sports car road." -tailofthedragon.com

So what better place to hold a Women 's Sportbike Rally? As the title implies, this event is mainly for women who love riding sportbikes. I had the pleasure of sponsoring it last year and hope to return in 2017. If you ride a sportbike and you want to meet other women who ride them with the same passion for maximum lean angle, smooth corners and track days then you'll feel right at home.

The three-day event consists of meet n’ greets, a scavenger hunt, sportbike night featuring sponsors such as GearChic.com and motorcycle photographer Killboy.com. Last year they also had Kawasaki offer free demo rides at The Dragon just for WSBR participants. You probably can’t find another event where an OEM would entrust their male counterparts with demo rides on such an infamous road known for a Tree of Shame.

"This annual event brings women from all walks of life and types of sportbikes together with their friends for a weekend of amazing riding and forever friendships while supporting a great cause. All proceeds are donated to the Skin Cancer Foundation in memory of Tiffany "Sportbikegirl" Weirbach who lost her battle with Melanoma in 2001." -Womens Sportbike Rally Website
