Already among the hardest-hitting cruisers on the street, in Screamin' Eagle form the V-Rod gets a 150cc displacement increase (105cc bores), ported heads, retimed cams, heavy-duty clutch, and a full ration of bright and shiny pieces that raise weight by nine pounds (to 625) and up the price by almost $8000 to $25,495.

Harley-Davidson showed dealers from around the world its 2005 motorcycle line in San Diego. Headlined by two new takes on nostalgic Softails, a custom Dyna model, a lowered Sportster, and three new CVO (Custom Vehicle Operations) Screamin' Eagle models—a 1250cc version of the liquid-cooled V-Rod, and 103-cubic-inch versions of the Fat Boy and Electra Glide—Harley-Davidson's 2005 model line has something for almost every one of the American icon's many fans.

Although the 2005 Sportsters, including the new low-saddle 883L model have already debuted (see our previous posting on the new Sportster models), the rest of the line was being shown publicly for the first time.

We will update the information and photos over the next few days. Here are intial photos and details of the new-for-2005 Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
