The new Buell 1125R continued its impressive start to the European road racing season with a top three qualifying spot and a pair of podium finishes in the French Top Twins series at Le Mans on March 30.

After qualifying third, Bruno Destoop claimed a hard-fought second-place finish in the first of the twin sprint races on Sunday on a wet track at Le Mans, just 0.034-second behind winner Jean Yves Mounier on a Ducati 1098R. Michel Amalric finished fourth on another 1125R, split by the Ducati of Didier Dalet. In the dry second race, Destoop again finished runner-up to Mounier by 0.598-second, with Amalric in sixth position.
