New Yoshimura Alpha-T 3/4 Race System for the Yamaha YZF-R1

Yoshimura has introduced the Alpha-T, their latest and lightest 3/4 race system for the Yamaha R1. Developed using feedback from racers around the world including the Westby Yamalube team, the Yoshimura Alpha-T 3/4 titanium race system weighs in at a claimed 5.7 pounds (8 pounds for stainless steel) and makes the new 998cc Yamaha R1 come alive with a an aggressive new sound profile. Yoshimura says that as soon as you install the new AlphaT 3/4 race system you will notice the one-of-a-kind sound that only the Yamaha Crossplane engine and Yoshimura Alpha-T muffler can make.

Peak horsepower (claimed) is up almost 5 horsepower and peak torque is improved by almost 5 lbs-ft of torque. The all-new Alpha-T comes complete with a carbon-fiber heat shield, and is available in either stainless steel or titanium Works Finish.
