This tribute is due to four boys who are really masters at the art of broadsiding, who know J.A P. motors far better than nearly any one in this country, and who were willing to stand up for their own standards even though at times they were embarrassed before the public.
On the other hand, the appearance of the Australians gave a very definite check upon American riders and that check shows that our first eight or ten men, given an opportunity to learn a few of the tricks of track which evidently are practiced abroad and to better learn about equipment, could hold up their records with some of the really good foreign riders.
It has been a milestone in the history of night speedway racing in this country, without all the laurels falling on either side of the fence. To the “Aussies,” you were good sports, and good riders and we should like to see you again, with all things even
Club Activity Contest
Another month has passed by and that means two months of the quarterly contest has gone and the boys are getting squared away for the third month that will get another Club National recognition as being the outstanding club for a period of three months and also get that club the swell A.M.A. banner that goes with the honor. Then there will be the final quarterly contest and then-we will have a National Champion motorcycle Club.
