The first six exhausts of this limited run of twenty-five will be auctioned off at the Official MotoGP charity day "Day of Champions" at Silverstone, England during the championship's Two Wheels for Life event on Thursday, 1st September. Two Wheels for Life (www.twowheelsforlife.org) is a charity that has done so much for the health of people in hard-to-reach villages in Africa, initially as Riders for Health and now under its new name. The initial group of six exhausts available to bid on during the Two Wheels for Life auction will be two of each version of the Slip-On Line for the Ducati Multistrada 1200 and the Yamaha YZF-R1, plus the Slip-On Line for the BMW S 1000 RR and the KTM 1290 Super Duke R.

These stunning exhausts are instantly recognizable with a unique signature, the Akrapovič “25” logo – which is dedicated to the company’s 25th anniversary – and a number that will not only identify which exhaust it is, but verifies the rareness of these exquisite collectors’ pieces. Finished in black paint over an ultra-lightweight titanium muffler, some parts have special nano coatings to make sure they stay as good as new after use – that is, if they ever get used. The exhausts are all EC and ECE type-approved. So, if you managed to get your hands on one, you could still fit it on your bike and show it off in its full glory, or even hang it on the wall as a work of art – because they certainly are that.

To add extra value and exclusivity to these fantastic products, each one has been signed by a MotoGP racer. Andrea Dovizioso and double world champion Casey Stoner have added their signatures to the Ducati Multistrada 1200 exhausts on behalf of the Ducati Team, with reigning MotoGP champion Jorge Lorenzo and nine-time title winner Valentino Rossi of the Movistar Yamaha MotoGP team putting their autographs on the Yamaha YZF-R1 pipes. Moto3 championship leader Brad Binder of Red Bull KTM Ajo Motorsport has added his name to the KTM 1290 Super Duke R version and three-time world champion Loris Capirossi has put his moniker on the BMW S 1000 RR exhaust in his role as the MotoGP safety advisor and BMW M MotoGP expert.

These unique exhausts will be donated by Akrapovič together with its partners from MotoGP – the Yamaha, Ducati, and KTM factory teams along with the championship organiser Dorna and BMW M, as the official MotoGP safety bike supplier – to Two Wheels for Life, solely aimed at raising important funds for the charity’s life-saving work. The auction is part of the Silverstone Day of Champions on Thursday, 1st September, which is held just before the British MotoGP round and has become an important part of the Grand Prix calendar.

Further information about further opportunities to get your hands on one of these rare exhausts will be announced soon. Follow Akrapovič on all of its social media outlets and its website, where the Slovenian exhaust specialists will be providing the latest updates on a regular basis.
