2013 Suzuki SFV Review

Intro

Culled from the SV650, a motorcycle revered for its performance-to-price ration, with much carryover from the Gladius, the Suzuki SFV will fill showroom floors in hopes of being taken home by new riders. This middleweight motorcycle is great for beginners who would like to ride around town or even venture out on the highways and winding canyons. The 645cc, V-twin engine spreads the power out over a six-speed transmission, providing even torque and smooth sailing throughout spectrum.

While zipping around city streets, a non-adjustable fork and spring preload-adjustable-only shock (5.1 in. travel) dampens the jarring effects of broken pavement and unkempt asphalt. Double disc brakes on the front wheel and a third on the back provide plenty of stopping power; however, ABS is not available on this model, which may deter some riders.

The instrument cluster provides feedback to the rider quickly and simply, with the following attributes: an analog tachometer; LCD digital speedometer; LCD dual trip-meters and odometer. An LCD digital clock, and LCD digital gear position indicator are also featured. Clearly this bike is make with ease and comfort in mind, which is just what every beginner needs.
