2010 QLINK Pegasus Review

Intro

The 2010 QLINK Pegasus is a sporty little 150cc scooter with lots going for it. Speeds of up to 55 mph (one-up and on the flats), good gas mileage, and fairly easy on the eyes. The single-cylinder DOHC is fueled by a Keihen carburetor, and unlike many of its brethren, it runs on regular gasoline. The sporty looking plastic body parts sit on a steel frame and roll on 16-inch tubeless aluminum wheels.

With 6.3 inches of ground clearance and sitting 47.2 inches tall, this 81.7-inch long scooter covers the country and city roads nicely. At 27.1 inches wide, parking and maneuvering isn’t bad either. The driver's floor boards are placed well and the fold-down passenger pegs tuck in smoothly when not in use. The seat is at a median driver height of 30.7 inches and is composed of a one-piece two-up leather seat with detachable rear back rest.

There is a small dash storage area, under-seat helmet storage (enough for a full face helmet), a rear rack, and lockable trunk storage. The dash is a simple gauge type with a speedometer and trip odometer, a tachometer, fuel level warning, and a temperature warning gauge, which is a very good thing as many have reported overheating problems.

This Chinese produced scooter is gaining popularity and seems to be fairly reliable and thrifty. Other than the aforementioned overheating issue, they are loved by all who own them.
