2012 Kymco People Review

Intro

While not a household name, Kymco, a Taiwanese company, makes motorcycles and ATVs and is the world’s fifth largest manufacturer of two-wheel motor vehicles. While more established brands have a stronghold in North America, Kymco has been gaining a loyal fan base and a bigger presence over the past decade. With the wide variety of scooters Kymco offers, it is clear that the company wants to cater to every segment of scooter enthusiasts. Kymco is also part of the modern trend of creating edgier, innovative scooter bikes. The 2012 Kymco People is not the sissy scooter that people may picture when they hear the word ""scooter"". The big-wheeled, medium-sized 2012 People is a versatile and well-made scooter, with a comfortable ride that handles well. It offers a superior ride and commendable handing, regardless of whether it is being ridden on the highway or in the city.

The 2012 Kymco People is available in two models that correspond to the engine size. The People 50 is powered by a 50cc single-cylinder, two-stroke engine. The more powerful People 150 sports a 150cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine. Both come with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and an electric start with a kickstart back up.

The baseline 50 model provides just enough power for convenient city riding, whereas the 150 is capable of performing on some long-distance routes. There is a stark difference in each Kymco, which is what makes every model unique. Regardless of which model is chosen from the lineup, they all deliver a comfortable ride and performance. They all offer ample space for a passenger to comfortably ride and enjoy the ride. There is also enough cargo room in most models along with helmet storage right under the seat. A cell phone accessory plug is also offered in case required. A rear luggage rack ensures that any bags or groceries are safely secured in the back. This Kymco is well-designed with a futuristic look to it, which certainly makes it a good-looking scooter to ride.
