2010 Kawasaki Z Review

Intro

The Z1 motorbike was first release by Kawasaki back in 1972. Kawasaki’s Z1000 won the AMA Superbike national at the Pocono Raceway five years later in 1977. A 30 year anniversary edition of the Z1000 was launched in 2003 to commemorate the classic motorbike. The Z750 was unveiled a year later and a new Z1000 was released two years later in 2007. The Kawasaki upgraded the Z1000 again for the 2010 lineup.

The MSRP for the 2010 Kawasaki Z 1000 is around $10,500. The liquid-cooled 16-valve engine in the 2010 Kawasaki Z1000 has a peak output of 136.1 horsepower at 9,600 RPM and 81 pound-feet of torque at 7,800 RPM. The 2010 Kawasaki Z bikes are around 6.8 feet long, 31.7 inches wide and 42 inches tall. The 2010 Kawasaki Z1000 has a ground clearance of around 5.5 inches and the Z750 has clearance of around 6.1 inches.

These motorbikes can go over 160 mph and can go from 0 to 60 in less than three seconds. The Kawasaki Z1000 comes with a two-piece seat that provides a comfortable vinyl seat for the driver and passenger as well. The seats on the bike are not adjustable. The Z1000 motorbike comes with a standard grab rail and foot pegs for the both the driver and passenger also. The 2010 Z1000 comes equipped with a side cover and a chain guard as well. The bike has a kick stand, standard fenders, standard handlebars and standard hand grips as well.

The dash of the Kawasaki Z1000 comes equipped with a fuel level warning gauge and a temperature gauge as well. The dash also comes equipped with a trip odometer, a speedometer, a clock, digital instrumentation and a tachometer. The Kawasaki motorbike comes equipped with lockable storage and under-seat storage as well. Surveyed riders typically preferred the 2010 Kawasaki Z1000 when compared to the rest of the bikes currently available.

Riders also prefer the 2010 Kawasaki Z750 motorbike over many of the other bikes out on the market right now as well. Riders often prefer the superior engine performance, racing track capabilities, design, touring capabilities and reliability of the 2010 Kawasaki Z1000 when compared to other motorbikes. Riders also felt the bike was more fun and safer to ride as well. This motorbike is certainly not the ideal choice for riding off-road but it’s none of the best bikes to have on the cramped city streets or winding roads in rUral areas.

New For 2010

  • The Kawasaki Z1000 motorbike was a new release for 2010. Engine capacity for the 2010 Kawasaki Z1000 motorbike increased to 1043 cc. The engine in the previous Z1000 model was only 953 cc. The exterior design of the bike was also modernized for 2010. This new model also has ABS as a standard feature for the 2010 lineup. Aside from the new engine and bodywork, Kawasaki also upgraded the motorbike with a new digital instrument panel and an aluminum frame as well.
