Intro

The Indian motorcycles have a long history with the first bikes being built in 1902. This long standing history has made the entire line of Indian motorcycles one of the oldest lines still in production today. In 2011, the company was bought by Polaris Industries. For the 2012 line there are three different models being offered. These are the Chief Vintage, Chief Classic and the Indian Chief Dark Horse. All three of these models are powered by a 105cc air cooled V-Twin engine that delivers optimal power and performance. All models also feature a fuel-injected, six-speed transmission, and a belt for the final drive.

The simple, yet elegant design of the 2012 Indian Chief has not changed much over the 110 years that the bike has been in production. The bike features a tear drop head lamp to help keep the styling of the bike looking classic. Other classic features include the black and polished engine that has chrome covers, solo seat designed with high quality leather, chrome-spoked wheels, and the traditional black wall tires.
