Young blazed a trail around the racetrack with his fast motorcycle and nerves of steel. Despite the water making all the race bikes hunt for traction on the track, Young kept his focus. He led all but two laps of the race, earning the point there, and powered his way to his third win of the season. Blake was dominant in the race, fearless when it came time to pass, and was fluidly fast. "We did our homework last night and made some improvements," Blake said after the race. "I've had more bad luck than good at this track, but the fastest way to come back from my injury here in June was to sit on the couch and watch races. It was hard to sit out for three months, but it made me want to race even more. This is what I love to do, and I really wanted to put my head down and get my team a win before the end of the season. My guys on the team are awesome, and I thank them very much for working hard for me!"
