World Ducati Weekend Celebration - WDW 2000

A Celebration Of Italy's Most Venerated Brand
America's motor company, Harley-Davidson, has its big anniversary bashes in Milwaukee, a town best known for beer. It's only fitting, then, that Italy's Motor Company, Ducati, hold its semiannual World Ducati Weekend party at a racetrack. This year's three-day celebration of all things red, lusty and desmodromic took place in June, attracting 23,000 Ducatisti from around the world to the Santa Monica race course, near Misano, just an hour up the autostrada from the company's spiritual headquarters in Bologna.

A three-ring circus of Duck-related activities, participants enjoyed attractions galore, including Ducati University seminars, gratis bike washing by lovely Italian lasses, live music, a pasta party and the chance to vie for Miss/Mr. Ducati honors.
