World Amateur Motocross Championships Blast Into Glen Helen Raceway

Amateur racers from around the world of all skill levels will get to compete on the same track as the world’s best.

Admission to the World Amateur Championships and unlimited paddock pass included in Adult Weekend Pass for the 2011 Monster Energy Grand Prix.

San Bernardino, Calif. – April 4, 2011 – Glen Helen Raceway, home to the 2011 Monster Energy Grand Prix of the United States, is excited to announce the World Amateur Motocross Championships. This special event will take place two days before the world's fastest motocross racers take to the steep hills of Glen Helen Raceway for the USGP.

As the only amateur event held in conjunction with an FIM World Championships event, the World Amateur Motocross Championships will offer amateur riders from all over the world a unique opportunity to race on the famed Glen Helen USGP track in the same configuration that the pros will use.

The action starts on Thursday, May 12, with a 7:30AM practice session. Racing starts at 9:15AM and lasts throughout the day. Classes include all skill levels of 50cc, 65cc, Schoolboy, Superminis, College, 250F, Over-25, Over-30, and Over-40. Friday, May 13, sticks to the same practice and race schedule, with racing in the 85cc, Women, 150, 450F, and Over-50 classes.

Admission for the World Amateur Motocross championship is included in the price of every $70 adult weekend pass for the 2011 Monster Energy Grand Prix of the United States, and for a limited time, buyers who purchase an adult weekend pass or Sunday only pass online will also receive an unlimited paddock pass for the USGP.
