“Saturday’s race was a good one overall,” said Myers after the fact. “I think it was crazy in the first few turns here at Daytona. The restart was better. I got a good launch on my SuzukiScoopFans Suzuki GSX-R600. Guys in turn one are pretty bossy in there, but I had to boss them right back. Overall, I rode a good race, but so did everyone else. They ended up getting past me at the line. I guess leading out of the middle of the last banking isn’t the greatest thing, but I got it yesterday, so I guess it was my turn to be at the back.” Although Myers is contesting all the 2011 AMA SuperSport rounds, officially she is only competing in the West Coast Championship. The first race for that region is the next round at Northern California’s Infineon Raceway, which puts a bit of pressure on the young rider. She remains undaunted.
