Another racing season is flying by. Seems like just yesterday we were lining up for the first gate of the motocross season at Hangtown. Now I sit here with just three more rounds of racing left in 2011.

All in all, it's been a good year. The outdoor season has had its ups and downs, but we're sitting here just seven points out of first place in the championship points with six races and a lot of laps left. My Rockstar Makita Suzuki team has done a great job getting me comfortable on my RM-Z450 week after week. We started out strong and consistent, but it took a few races to grab our first overall. We were close in Texas, but a fuel issue at the end cost us the win. We were able to pull off our first overall a few weeks later in Colorado. That felt pretty good. And since then, we've been able to pull off two more overalls and have been real consistent in staying on at least the second step of the podium.

I really enjoy the outdoor races. The fans are great, the tracks are fun and challenging, and the races have been awesome. The top guys are running a real fast pace and you really have to put your head down and fight for position. Fortunately, my Yoshimura-equipped Suzuki RM-Z450 has been running great and has helped me stay out front. My team and I have our heads down and are looking forward and keeping focused, as we want to bring home that number one plate.

I just found out last week that I was picked for the 2011 US Motocross des Nations team. It's quite an honour to be selected again and I plan do everything I can to help bring home that trophy again this year. My experiences at des Nations have been unbelievable and will always be cherished for life. I'm really looking forward to this year's event and racing with my team mates Ryan (Villopoto) and Blake (Baggett) and working with Roger DeCoster.

Once again, I have to give a big thanks to my Rockstar Makita Suzuki team and particularly to my family and The Man Above. They have been so supportive throughout this entire year. It's a long road with 17 rounds of Supercross followed by 12 rounds of motocross and I couldn't do it without all their help and support. Talk to you soon!
