The innovative BUILD Moto Mentorship program, which challenges high-school students to build vintage racing motorcycles, recently returned to Road America's Vintage Motorcycle Classic. And once again, Editor-at-Large Aaron Frank was asked to race the Port Washington Pirate's Honda CB175-based entry. Led by mentor William Kunst, the kids really outdid themselves this year, building a faux Ducati with their own steel-trellis frame and re-phased 90-degree crankshaft, crushing its 200GP competition in practice until a dropped valve ended the weekend before racing even started.
