Racing Champion's 2011 Honda CRF Auctioned on eBay Motors

[Last night, a 2011 Honda CRF, previously owned and used in a race by motocross and supercross racing champion, Chad Reed, sold on eBay Motors for $25,300. Reed, who won two Australian National titles before heading over to the U.S. to take on the AMA, is one of the best riders in the series and has never finished a full season outside the top-10.

The 2011 Honda CRF was one of three that Reed used to race during the 2011 AMA supercross series, and still includes one of the racing engines. In 2011, he finished second overall in the SX championship and was just four points shy of taking the title. When Reed started the AMA Pro Motocross series later that year, he won four of the first six races, but a crash set him back, leading Reed to finish the season in third place.

This auction showed both Reed's popularity and the growing number of fans for motocross and supercross racing, as it was at one point the most popular item on with 140,887 page views.
