It’s been a news-heavy year so far, with manufacturers releasing information on 2015 models at this year’s Intermot show in Cologne, Germany, in early October, dropping a few more models at the AIMExpo in Orlando in the middle of October, and now EICMA in Milan set to start next Monday.
We’ve already seen some cool new hardware from several manufacturers from recent press intros and AIMExpo unveilings.
- BMW (see First Ride: S1000RR and First Look: R1200R)
- Ducati (see First Look: 2015 Scrambler)
- Honda (see 40th Anniversary Gold Wing )
- Kawasaki (see Ninja H2R - 300HP!, Versys 1000LT, Versys 650 and Vulcan S )
- MV Agusta (see Mercedes-AMG merger and 2015 Stradale news )
- Suzuki (see First Look: GSX-S1000 & GSX-S750 and V-Strom 650XT)
- Yamaha (see First Look: 2015 YZF-R3 and First Look: 2015 Star Bolt C-Spec)
But there’s more.
- BMW will reveal the S1000SX, an S1000-based massive ADV machine that we've rumored for some time.
- Ducati was the first to pull the covers off of their 2015 line via live stream video. If you missed it, look for our First Look at the lineup that includes the Panigale 1299, Panigale 1199R, Diavel Titanium and Multistrada with new technical features.
- Honda might just shock us all with an RCV1000 MotoGP replica streetbike.
- Kawasaki will reveal the street-legal version of the H2R, called simply the H2.
- We also expect Kawasaki to reveal an updated Concours 14 sport-touring rig; it's the only model on the company's US website to not be shown as a 2015 version.
- Yamaha will release info on a stunning new YZF-R1 at EICMA. We know this for sure because we've been invited to a simultaneous release on Monday morning in Los Angeles.
- Yamaha will also confirm the existence of the FJ-09 lightweight sport-tourer.
Our own Aaron Frank will be on the ground in Milan, feeding us the latest info as well as impressions from what should be one of the most amazing trade shows of the decade.
Stay tuned!
