Kyle Petty auctions Motorcycle #60 for his charity - Victory Junction Gang Camp

DAYTONA BEACH, FL (July 7, 2008) - Kyle Petty, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Driver, kicked off the auction for the final motorcycle in the officially licensed "NASCAR 60th Anniversary Motorcycle Series brought to you by Destination Daytona" during the Coke Zero 400 on July 5, 2008 in Daytona Beach, Florida.

To commemorate NASCAR's 60th anniversary, Bruce Rossmeyer, CEO of 15 Harley-Davidson locations - including the World's Largest Harley-Davidson dealership located at Bruce Rossmeyer's Destination Daytona - teamed up with NASCAR to create 60 custom motorcycles, each individually serialized #1 through #60.

Motorcycle #60 in the series was presented to Petty, who initiated the auction of the one-of-a-kind motorcycle with proceeds benefitting Victory Junction Gang Camp, his charity for terminally and chronically ill children. The bidding for the motorcycle will continue through July 14th at 12:00pm. Fans can bid on the NASCAR Foundations Web site as well as onsite during the Coke Zero weekend at kiosks.
