KTM and Jimmy Lewis Off-Road Training Team Up for Adventure Training

Celebrate the Holidays early on a brand new 2012 KTM 990 Adventure and get some big bike off-road training at the same time. On December 17th and 18th JLR Off-Road Training will host a very special KTM Adventure training. This class will be exclusive to riders on KTM's twin-cylinder off-road machines and help riders learn the skills and techniques for riding the dirt roads and trails on such a powerful and capable machine. Sure to fill up quick, there will be a limited number of slots open where you will be able to show up with your gear and spend the weekend on a 2012 KTM 990 Adventure learning from Dakar podium finisher Jimmy Lewis.

Known for teaching adventure riding techniques, Lewis has been holding schools for the big bikes since 1999. "I got my first taste of African rally racing on a KTM in 1996 and actually won the single-cylinder class on a KTM 640LC4 in 1997. Doing that led me to love riding the big bikes long distances and to satisfy my addiction I started riding twin-cylinder bikes here in the states for training and for fun. I quickly learned they took a whole different skill set and a big appreciation for the power they posses. And with the popularity of adventuring on the rise in the US, I took the skills and drills I used to become a better rider on the big bikes and started teaching them in our specialized course."

The school will be held in Pahrump, Nevada, December 17th and 18th just one-hour west of Las Vegas at the JLR facility. The class includes two days of specialized training tailored to the KTM990/950 adventure and 950 Super Enduro, lunch both days and a dinner on Saturday evening. There will be a limited number of demo bikes available to the first riders who sign up ($800) and current owners of twin-cylinder KTMs can also sign up for the regular class price ($600).
