Indian Motorcycle Named Presenting Sponsor of Indian Day West

Pomona, Calif. - Indian Motorcycle signs on as presenting sponsor of the biennial Indian Day West at the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum presented by Automobile Club of Southern California.

"This is our third Indian Day West (IDW)," said Tony Thacker executive director of the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum. "And I'm proud to announce that Indian Motorcycle, recently acquired by Polaris Industries, has stepped up to sponsor the event."

"I always look forward to Indian Day because we get such a wide variety of Indians. Everything from Burt Munroe's World's Fastest Indian, courtesy of the Hensley Family, to flat track racers. And, as if that is not enough the event is held in conjunction with the AMA Flat Track Finals making it a double header."

"Indian Motorcycle owners are a unique group whether they prefer the vintage or newer generation motorcycles," says Polaris Motorcycles General Manager Steve Menneto. "The combination of racing history, an AMA flat track race and the gathering of Indian Motorcycle enthusiasts is sure to be entertaining in every way, and we're happy to be part of the program this year."

Indian Day West is presented by Indian Motorcycle and is sponsored by Prolong,, Bates Leathers and Dice Magazine.

The event is open to all Indian motorcycles and any brand pre-1980 motorcycles. Those who bring a classic bike get free admission to Indian Days West and one free ticket to the Flat Track Finals. For modern Indian Motorcycle owners and other riders, the entry fee is just $5 which includes admission to the NHRA museum, where there is not only a stunning collection of drag racers and hot rods, but a surprising number of motorcycles on display as well.
