Ducati Announces New Multistrada Models for 2007

1100 and 1100 S

The introduction of the Multistrada family in 2003 created a new generation of modern sport bikes. Capable of excelling in any road condition, the Multistrada perfectly blends the aggressive handling of a modern sport bike with a smooth and relaxed riding position.

For 2007, the Multistrada receives significant upgrades, including a potent new 1100 Desmo L twin engine, a wet clutch that has a lighter pull, comfort enhancing vibration-isolated handlebars and a new maintenance program that reduces servicing costs by as much as 50%. The new 1100 Desmo L-Twin engine delivers smoother, more tractable power and produces 95 HP at 7750 rpm and 76 lb-ft of torque at 4750 rpm.

The unmistakable Ducati trellis frame and fully-adjustable suspension make the bike adaptable to any road condition and every riding style. Developed on the winding mountain roads and city streets of Italy, the Multistrada is a real-world motorcycle for real-world riders - a high performance sport bike that doesn't compromise comfort, versatility or practicality.

Building on the innovations that defined a totally new market segment, the 1100 is the latest evolution of the Multistrada concept. For those riders who demand the ultimate in sports performance, the Multistrada 1100 S features 43mm hlins forks, a fully adjustable hlins rear shock with remote preload adjustment and other component upgrades to ensure performance reminiscent of a Superbike.
