While the experience of watching the world's best motorcycle racers at work is truly unforgettable, it's only one of the highlights of this week. On the way from Munich to Brno we will travel through the foothills of the Alps. Cameras are an essential tool for riding the Rossfeld Ringstrasse near the famous Eagles Nest. Through the lake district of Salzburg, Upper Austria and Styria consider yourself lucky if you are riding two up so the passenger can record all that movie stage scenery. After all, The Sound of Music was filmed here in the Salzkammergut. Chances of meeting one of the few bears in the Otscher Nature Park are rather small, but we will not miss the area's curves on our way up to the Czech Republic. It is situated at the crossroads of ancient trade routes that have linked northern and southern European civilizations for centuries. The last riding day to Vienna offers the optional visit to country number four Slovakia. Slovakia is not about jaw-dropping sights and superlatives; it's about experiencing a place less touched by the glitz and glam of its more famous neighbours.
