2011 Triumph Bonneville Review

The 2011 Triumph Bonneville brings a true sense of retro styling without managing to seem dated. The motorcycle is styled with enough crossover appeal that it should entice both older buyers looking to recapture their youth and younger buyers who a classy but contemporary look. The Bonneville is a very capable cruiser and drivers can feel comfortable taking it for extended road trips on the highway. Although it has a very compact design, the 2011 Triumph Bonneville still manages to look exciting.

Triumph has stocked the Bonneville with a long roster of options. Although these can bring the price up substantially from its relatively modest base price, those looking into purchasing a 2011 Triumph Bonneville would do well to consider adding some options. For example, those who will be taking their model out onto the highway for extended road trips might appreciate the optional gel comfort seats. Another alluring alternative are the classic leather saddlebags, which enhance the vehicle’s retro styling. Unfortunately, the seat height is quite short, and taller drivers may experience significant difficulty in getting comfortable. While it is nice that the Bonneville offers a low-to-the-ground experience, it perhaps would have been preferable for Triumph to make the seats a bit higher off the ground.

Although the 2011 Triumph Bonneville lacks a sixth speed, it is still capable of maintaining adequate speeds on the highway. Drivers will never feel as though they lack control, as the ride is very stable. The seats are also very comfortable, which makes long car rides all the more enjoyable. Another positive aspect to the seating is that the long, one-piece seat is perfectly adaptable to both a single rider and two riders. Handling is surprisingly quiet for a car with its performance capabilities. Although the Bonneville is a somewhat heavy vehicle, it provides a very stable experience on the highway. Handling is also responsive and steering is nimble.
