2011 Hyosung GV Review


Offering two models with varying performance figures from their respective engines, the 2011 Hyosung GV offers handsome styling that blends many elements from traditional cruiser models, though manages to come up with a unique bike that doesn’t appear to be a mere copy of a more expensive and well-known brand. With either engine choice, the GV includes EFI for improved performance, low emissions, and reliable starting of the bike. Both motorcycles deliver smooth, easy cruising and a comfortable low seat that beginners will have little difficulty getting used to. As an economical import, this motorcycle has many of the things those who are new to motorcycling will find appealing.

The GV250 is a good entry-level motorcycle which performs solidly for street riding and getting around town in style. The 250-cc, V-twin features roller bearing camshafts and a dual squelch combustion chamber. Features formerly confined to racing engines, these parts have now become economical enough for street use. This engine achieves a decent 28.5 horsepower, which is ample power for taking to the urban roads and fun cruising speeds. The GV250’s low seat height and center of gravity make it easy to maneuver. An easy bike to ride, even the experienced motorcyclist will have a lot of fun riding the GV250.

Featuring light weight alloy wheels for reduced weight and inverted forks for improved handling, the GV650 offers up a more powerful 650-cc, V-twin which gets a sporty 79 horsepower. Its adjustable inverted forks combined with its wide rear tire ensure smooth driving on almost any type of road surface. Four color schemes are available for this year’s Hyosung GV650, which include black with orange, black, white, and pink.
