2007 Schwinn Graduate Review

The base MSRP for the 2007 Schwinn Graduate 50 model is around $1,800, the 2007 Graduate 150 model is closer to $2,000. This scooter is a great choice for college students or people that spend most of their time running errands around town opposed to traveling far distances. The reviews for these scooters has been somewhat mixed from people that currently own either the 2007 Schwinn Graduate 50 or 150 model. The Graduate scooters are relatively inexpensive when compared to other scooters and motorbikes currently available.

There are owners that have had no complaints after years of owning the Graduate 50 model but there are also owners that have had problems finding the specific parts for repair. There are also owners that have had a myriad of mechanical problems involving logos falling off, starter malfunctions, monthly adjustments for the rear brakes, maintenance tuning difficulties, malfunctioning turn signals and unreliable ignition switches as well. There are still many owners that had the Graduate 50 for over four years and are surprised at how well it’s held up without any serious mechanical issues.

There are mixed reviews for the Graduate 150 as well. Many riders praise the scooter for its speed, comfort, gas mileage, reliability and low-maintenance needs. Many riders have only broken down on this scooter once or twice in the past four years. There are other riders who have been stuck frequenting repair shops regularly within the first 500 miles of new ownership. Some people have complained about fasteners and other pieces falling off or falling apart as well. There are just as many riders who praise the value in comparison to the cost and have never had any breakdowns in the last 3,000 miles.

Many of the riders love the Graduate scooter, despite any of the minor problems they have had with it thus far. Some of these riders have had to replace circuit boards, turn signals and latches that became and stuck and refused to open. It’s fair to expect the Graduate models will need regular repairs at some point and should garner attentive maintenance efforts by the owner to mitigate the risks of future malfunctions or mechanical issues. These Graduate scooters are really ideal for the riders that are just looking for transportation from A to B without having to pay an exurbanite price to get around the local area.

The Schwinn Graduate scooters take premium gas but still probably have the one of the highest mpg averages among the scooters and motorbikes currently out on the market. The Graduate 50 is 5.94 feet long and 27.2 inches wide. The Graduate 150 scooter is 5.82 feet long and 26.6 inches wide. Both of the scooters feature a one-piece vinyl seat that is made to hold up to two people. The scooters are equipped with standard grab rails and have floor boards for both the driver and the passenger as well. Both scooters have a storage capacity of up to ten pounds. The 2007 Graduate scooter have standard under-seat storage, helmet storage, glove box storage and lockable storage as well.
