Performance Motorcycle Comparison: Triumph Rocket III Vs. Yamaha V-Max
At 102cc less than twice the V-Max's displacement, the Rocket can be expected to make a lot more torqueand it does. Its 141-foot-pound peak arrives early (2500 rpm) while the curve is essentially flat from 2000 to 3500 rpm. Heck, at 1500 rpm, the Triumph is putting down almost 114 foot-pounds, just eight fewer than the Kawasaki Vulcan 2000 makes at its peak.
