Nicky Hayden Hit By Car In Italy

According to a report posted on the WorldSBK website, Nicky Hayden was hit by a car today while training on his bicycle along the Rimini coastline. According to a report posted by Motofire.com, the accident occurred at 14:00 (local time) while Hayden was riding within the Riccione Taveloto-provincial district. Ambulances and medics on site treated Hayden's injuries as life-threatening and he has now been transferred to a hospital in Rimini with severe chest and head trauma. There is no further information with regards to injuries suffered by any other members of the group, or the driver of the car.

American Star Taken To Hospital Following Collision
Nicky Hayden (Red Bull Honda World Superbike Team) has been involved in a training incident which saw the American being hit by a car when he was out training on his bicycle. The incident occurred along the Rimini coastline this afternoon, where he has been spending time following the Motul Italian Round at Imola. Following the incident, emergency services were called to the scene and Hayden was transported to the local hospital. Ambulances arrived and Hayden was taken directly to the hospital.
