You've heard of the Love Ride, that annual gathering of Harley-Davidson riders that raises money for charity. Maybe you've even taken part. Now, Pro Italia Motors is doing something similar for Italian bike fans. Café Desmo started 22 years ago as a small anniversary party and has grown to be one of the largest Italian bike shows in Southern California. Last year's event surpassed everyone's expectations, so this year shop owner Bill Nation has decided to make it even bigger, and raise funds to help rebuild the Angeles National Forest after last summer's devastating wildfires. Pro Italia Motors is kicking it up a notch for this year's Café Desmo Italian bike show, expanding the event to three days and benefitting the Angeles National Forest. Talk about your aftermarket cans! Pro Italia Motors is kicking it up a notch for this year Café Desmo 2010 will take place over a three-day weekend August 20-22. Festivities kick off with a fundraising dinner and auction at the shop Friday evening, followed by a concert at a nearby club Saturday night, and then the big event on Sunday, with a bike show at the shop followed by a group ride to an outdoor concert at Newcomb's Ranch on the Angeles Crest Highway.
