Ducati Desmocedici RR - Last Desmo Offer

"Compared to Ducati's majestic MotoGP-replica tool, everything else on two wheels is, frankly, just a bit soft." - visordown.com, March, 2010

Pro Italia now has available the last brand-new, un-registered Ducati Desmocedici RR Superbike available from Ducati North America; it is the last new Desmo west of the Mississippi and south of the Great White North. We have this bike available right now as part of our Last Desmo Offer. What you'll get:

• Desmo #1004 in the team livery
• titanium engine bolt kit
• titanium frame bolt kit (over a $3300.00 value for both kits)
• set of VIP paddock passes, parking and hospitality suite tickets to the 2010 Moto GP at Laguna Seca

Price: $72,495 including all the extras and the titanium bits installed. In addition, and separately, we have for sale a spare set of wheels for a Desmo. The total count of all available new Desmos in North America is a mere 8 including ours. The others are located at these fine Ducatisti:

• Battley Cycles, Gaithersburg, MD
• Gold Coast Motorsports, New Hyde Park, NY
• Duc Pond Motorsports, Winchester, VA
• Ducati de Puerto Rico, Carolina, PR
• Giant Motorsports, Chicago, IL
• TT Motorcycles, Clinton Township, MN
• Southwest Motorrad, Kelowna, BC, Canada

Since selling the very first Desmo in the US (to much fanfair in February 2008, hours before Maverick got his) we're excited to have available one of the last. We continue to service many Desmocedicis. When owners want the best they leave their bikes in the care of our shop chief/3rd level Ducati wizard Marc Maidens. We'll work to add you and #1004 to our list of clients. Contact our Sales team for information on purchasing this ultimate Italian superbike.

Track Day
This Sunday, March 21st, is our first track day of the season - a Fastrack Riders event at the AMA course in Fontana. The short story is this: the track day? Sold out. But there are other related events you can still take advantage of for the coming weekend. And if you've never experienced a track day, come to Fontana and join us at the Pro Italia garage for refreshments, great bikes and camaraderie.

Track Day Pre-events
We'll have AMA racer Tyler Odom in the shop on Saturday, March 20th from 12 - 1 PM. Tyler Odom currently campaigning a Erion Racing Honda 600RR in the Daytona Sportbike class, Tyler won the 2009 Daytona Superbike race in its first year. He ran Ducatis with Pro Italia sponsorship in 2007 and 2008 on a 848 and 1098s. Both years he won the Heavyweight Twins AMA class championship. Tyler will talk about how he rides the AMA course at Fontana and answer any questions you may have about riding on the track.

Michelin Tire Sale
Whether you are signed up or not, Partsmaster Rey has made a special purchase of Michelin tires and we have very competitive prices on Power Ones, Power Pures (which Service Manager Ed now speaks very highly of), Pilot Roads and Pilot Powers. Get them now by calling or emailing Pro Italia Parts to nab yourself a new pair.

Shop manager Ed is offering sprockets upgrades
$60 (parts and labor) will get you a lower toothed front sprocket on your Ducati. Taking these tall-geared bikes down a tooth will give you added acceleration and an easier action off the line. An effective and inexpensive mod that pays dividends. Call 818 249-5707 or email Pro Italia Service to set up an appointment.

Join us
Loads of PI riders are curious about track days but have yet to participate. Come on out to see us on Sunday. Admission is free and you can hang in our pit area and take pics of the bikes on the track. This'll give you a look into the excitement that is the track, giving you some familiarity with the scene which will help you be more at ease for the next event - perhaps a track day with you and Doug Polen. As usual, you'd already know about these events if you join us on our Facebook page.
