Buffalo, Minnesota’s Gregor Moe put Victory Motorcycles on the land-speed racing map last fall, riding his naturally aspirated, 110-cubic-inch Victory Kingpin to a remarkable speed of 165.8 mph and breaking the 2000-M-AG class speed record that had stood since 1973. To honor the efforts of Moe and other Victory racers who recently competed at Bonneville, Victory is now offering a limited edition Vegas model featuring a salt flats-inspired paint scheme and its most powerful production engine yet.

Compared to the standard Vegas, which uses a 100 cubic-inch (1634cc) Freedom V-twin, the limited-edition machine uses the larger-displacement, higher-compression 106 cubic-inch (1731cc) iteration. The limited edition is also equipped with Victory's own Stage 2 high-performance cams, to produce 97 bhp and 113 lb.-ft. torque. A special appearance package consists of “106” race-plate graphics, color-matched frame and blacked-out engine and fork. Customers can choose from four available color schemes: Fire Ball Red, Competition Yellow, Pearl White or Turbo Silver.

Victory will build no more than 100 of these Vegas LEs, which are available for sale now on a dedicated Web site at www.victorymotorcycles.com/vegasLE. Availability will end on February 15th, 2010—or sooner, if the 100 bike limit is reached in advance. MSRP is $15,999.
