Great Bikes of the 70's: Kawasaki 903 Z1
The Z's timing couldn't have been better, as the first AMA-sanctioned "Open Production" race took place at Laguna Seca in 1973. Yvon DuHamel did the deed on this Yoshimura-prepped Z1. Production racing caught on immediately, with a wide range of machinery involved from the beginning.
