The T16 twin's crankshaft allows 270 degrees, then 450 degrees of rotation between each 49-cubic-inch explosion. Aside from being smoother than the iconic 360-degree layout where both pistons rise and fall together, it emulates a V-twin's flat torque curve and phat exhaust cadence.
