Re-inventing leather
Leather is still the best thing to put between human skin and fast-moving pavement, except when it rains. We shouldn't be wrestling with another suit under some freeway overpass just to stay dry, and thanks to Aerostich and Gore-Tex, we don't have to. Cut from waterproof Gore-Tex Pro Shell leather, the Transit keeps water outside where it belongs, even in a toad-choking downpour.

Aerostitch Transit Suit Pants

Unlike more primitive suits, the Transit exhales perspiration through its internal Gore-Tex membrane and zillions of tiny holes in the tough, hydrophobic cowhide. No mad cows here: Just comfortable, dependable protection, complete with removable TF armor in all the right places. When it's sunny, a solar-reflective pigment keeps you cooler than conventional leather. No single suit does more to keep you comfortably covered. It's not cheap-$847 for the jacket, $797 for the pants or $1497 for both-but neither are skin grafts and they really hurt! Find further enlightenment at www.aerostich.com.
