The '06 instrument pod looks very much the same as what you'd find in the cockpit of an '05 R6 with one sizeable difference. In case you haven't already noticed, the new bike's rev limit has migrated to 17,500 rpm: 2000 rpm to the right of where it was. Specifics are slim at press time, but dramatically oversquare 67mm x 42.5mm cylinder dimensions and new titanium valves empower the stratospheric rev ceiling.
