Water delivery in Basrah was a bunfight. It started off relatively controlled, then descended into absolute chaos as the crowd got desperate for their share. You'd see five-year-old kids trying to lug buckets of water twice their weight. But chatting with these locals proved them to be some of the most intelligent and funniest people in the Middle East.
