Ducati Recalls the 2016-2017 XDiavel For Loose Pulley Nuts

Loose nuts are the cause of this recall affecting 1,433 Ducati XDiavel cruisers.

THE RECALL: Ducati North America (Ducati) is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Ducati XDiavel motorcycles manufactured from July 7, 2015, to June 22, 2016. The affected motorcycles may have an insufficiently tightened final drive pulley retaining nut which may result in a loss of power transmission to the rear wheel.

WHAT COULD HAPPEN: A loss of power transmission to the rear wheel may increase the risk of a crash.

THE FIX: Ducati will notify owners, and dealers will install a new washer under the final drive pulley retaining nut and increase the tightening torque, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin November 7, 2016. Owners may contact Ducati customer service at 1-800-231-6696. Ducati's number for this recall is RCL-16-003.
