BMW K1300S HP vs. Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R vs. Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa | A Fast Getaway

With handlebars situated almost two inches higher and two inches closer to the saddle than the Hayabusa, the K1300S is far-and-away the comfort king. Three-position adjustable rearsets allow you to fine-tune foot position, but mounting bolts are difficult to access.

The Ninja’s three key ergonomic measurements—bar rise, seat-to-bar and seat-to-peg distance—all describe a perfect midpoint between the aggressive Hayabusa and the upright K1300S. Our only complaint is footpegs that are located too far forward, leading to sore hips.

With the longest reach—almost 1.5 inches longer than its next closest competitor—to the lowest bars and the shortest seat to peg distance, the Hayabusa offers the sportiest riding position here. That helps handling, but detracts from interstate fitness. A bar riser (see page 63) really helps.
